Preparation<\/h3>\n

The sheet pile interlocks have to be dry, clean, free of loose parts, free of grease, oil and dust. Otherwise, for Melavill\u00ae<\/sup> to stick in the interlocks, a cleaning with compressed air, wire brush or high pressure water jet is recommended.<\/p>\n

The steel sheets must be laid out in a perfectly horizontal position. In order to prevent the liquid Melavill\u00ae<\/sup> from flowing out of the interlocks at the ends, they must be sealed with putty or similar.<\/p>\n

Processing temperature from:<\/strong> +5 \u00b0C.
\nAt cold temperatures, we recommend the special additive Melavill Plus\u00ae<\/sup><\/a> to improve the viscosity of Melavill\u00ae<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Storage instructions<\/h3>\n

The material must be protected from heat during storage.<\/p>\n

Consumption<\/h3>\n

approx. 0.30 kg per lm in threading interlock
\napprox. 0.10 kg per lm in pressed middle interlock
\napprox. 0.35 kg per m\u00b2 sheet pile wall – at 600 mm sheet pile width
\napprox. 0.30 kg per m\u00b2 sheet pile wall – at 700 mm sheet pile width
\napprox. 0.25 kg per m\u00b2 sheet pile wall – at 750 mm sheet pile width<\/p>\n

The quantities given are based on the Larssen interlock according to EN 10248. For other types of interlocks, consumption may vary accordingly.<\/p>\n

Durability<\/h3>\n

The durability of Melavill\u00ae<\/sup> in the filled sheet pile wall is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
in water with a pH-value of 3.5 to 11.5:<\/td>\n\u00a0very good<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
in seawater:<\/td>\n\u00a0very good<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
in mineral oil:<\/td>\n\u00a0low<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
in gasoline and crude oil:<\/td>\n\u00a0very low<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
