\nDue to their geometry, Z-sections have a lower weight than U-shaped sheet piles with the same load-bearing capacity and are therefore more economical. Z-sections are available with a section modulus of up to over 5,000 cm\u00b3\/m. Therefore, Z-sections are mainly installed for excavation support with a high load-bearing capacity. Lightweight Z-profiles are used as intermediate panels in soldier pile shoring.<\/p>\n
